Important Program and Price Changes

We have some very good news for anyone who is interested in Impact! We have updated our Impact program and substantially dropped the price. In the past Impact was run as school/training for 4 months and touring across Canada for the next 5 months with our motivational teams. Impact is now focused on being a "full-time" touring program with mentoring and leadership training happening on-the-fly. Full-time touring is not as instense as it sounds, it means going out on 1 to 6 week tours to different places in Canada before returning home to Hamilton. For a number of different weeks, touring will be to local schools which means staying in Hamilton and going on day-trips.

The formal schooling/training was a large portion of the expense of this program and so we are able to adjust the price to reflect these changes. The price for Impact is now $350 a month for 9 months ($3150 total). If you are planning on monthly payments, we request that $700 be paid in advance. This is an incredible price for 9 months of travel and amazing experiences across Canada. This fee helps covers all travel expenses (food, transportation, lodging) while touring and covers housing while in Hamilton.

Impact Leadership School

Impact is a unique educational and life experience contained in a nine month program. The program consists of four months of training and preparation, and five months of touring and leadership opportunities, which come in various exciting and purposeful situations. Our students experience life from amazing perspectives and locations, and the year promises to be foundational for who you become and where you go in the years ahead.

Impact Leadership School is based on a holistic approach to life and leadership: who you are is about the whole person, not just intellectually or emotionally. Absolute Leadership Development is a Christian values based organization, and therefore, we promote the development of each of our people as a whole, not just focusing on certain areas. Experience has proven that when we make the investment in each of our people as individuals, they begin to tap into the incredible potential that is locked inside of each of them.

A few of the opportunities included in your tuition costs are: personal mentoring times with leaders and entrepreneurs, team leadership opportunities, urban reality trips (local and regional social justice opportunities), public communications training, thought-provoking classes, and numerous other hands-on experiences.

Absolute Leadership Development is located in Hamilton, Ontario, in an historic building with a colorful history! Impact is the leadership training school of Absolute, and is comprised of students from all across Canada and the U.S. Our facility includes separate dorm housing for men and women, with equipped kitchens in each dorm. Due to the building capacity, each dorm room is unique and can house between one and four people.

Hamilton is a city of 500,000+ and lies halfway between Niagara Fall, ON and Toronto, ON. Hamilton is a beautiful, diverse city that is never lacking in excitement!

Cost?

A full year of Impact School of Leadership costs only $2500 CAD tuition plus $500 a month for rent ($6500 total). This covers housing, classes/training, travel within Canada while touring to schools, and an international relief trip! The costs do not include your personal requirements or food while at home in Hamilton.

There are numerous options for your tuition payments. Students are able to pay with credit card, bank loans (our registration office can help you with this), and also by monthly payments. Please note, currently, Impact School of Leadership does not qualify with Canada Student Loans. All students are required to pay their first installment of $2500 on the first day of classes on September 4th, and a minimum of $500 a month, due on the first of each month.

What is Impact affiliated with?

------Impact is the leadership school of Absolute Leadership Development. Absolute has teams that are trained and equipped to travel across Canada and internationally, going into high schools with a motivational experience, speaking to hundreds of thousands of students annually.

What is the primary focus of Impact?

-------To provide a unique opportunity for personal character and leadership development, through our nine-month program. The focus of Impact is on each individual student, and creating an environment for them to succeed at developing their personal potential. Impact is a holistic approach to personal development, and we focus on each student as a whole, including physical, emotional, intellectual, as well as spiritual. Impact is a "life training" (not a religious training) program and we welcome students of all faiths, provided that they are equally open-minded and understanding to the fact that Absolute is a Christian values based organization.

What will a typical day consist of?

--------Come prepared for an adventure! Each day is a unique opportunity to grow and learn. When students are home in Hamilton, they are involved in daily classes with various instructors and special guests. The classes vary in intensity and focus, and include things such as personal development, communication and public speaking, time management, philosophy, cultural studies and understanding, urban reality opportunities, as well as personal disciplines and one on one mentoring with leaders and entrepreneurs.

Where will I live?

--------We require all Impact students to live in Absolute housing, as we firmly believe that this is an experience in itself! Due to limited availability, please apply for Impact as soon as possbile so you are counted in the housing. Housing is included in your tuition.

How does the application procedure work?

--------- Our admissions procedure is based on an individual basis, and we do not consider applications until the required information has arrived.

When does Impact start and end?

---------Our school runs from September 4th to May 31st, with of course some weeks off at Christmas.

What else in necessary, should I be accepted into the program?

--------It is recommended (but not necessary) that you have a working and insured car. Give yourself a reasonable monthly allowance for personal and basic needs (we recommend about $150/month. If you do not have a car, you will be expected to work out your own daily transportation needs (we are located very close to a major bus route). You will also need a valid passport, as you will be traveling out of the country at least once in the year. You are expected to come prepared with both of these. If you are an American or international student, you will need to make your student visa in order before you come in September. For information on this, consult your local authorities.

We recommend at least $100 a month for your groceries, which you are responsible for during your time at home in Hamilton.

Books are included in your tuition costs.
